Poe: the utility choice
Not a companion app at all, which is the point. Poe, from Quora, lets you talk to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and others through one interface and spin up your own bots. If half your Character AI use was really just wanting a capable assistant for drafting, explaining and answering questions, Poe does that properly, where Character AI never did. Do not come here for roleplay.
Talkie AI: casual and playful
