Who we are, and why this site exists

OurDream AI started with a simple frustration. Most write-ups about AI girlfriend apps read like they were assembled from a press kit — long on adjectives, short on anyone having actually opened the product.

So we did the boring part. We sign up, pay for the plans, push the features until they break, and write down what really happens. This page explains who sits behind that work and how we keep it honest.

What we cover

We focus on a narrow slice of the internet: AI companion platforms — the apps that let you chat, customise a persona, generate images and video, and hold a running conversation that remembers you. OurDream AI is our home base, and from here we compare features, pricing, privacy practices and the parts that rarely make it into marketing copy.

It is a fast-moving space. A platform that felt thin in spring can ship voice calls and a memory upgrade by autumn, so nothing here is written once and forgotten.

The experience behind it

Our team has been testing conversational AI products since 2023, back when "memory" meant a model forgetting your name three messages in. That history matters. It is the difference between reviewing a feature and recognising when a feature is quietly broken.

Every verdict on this site rests on hands-on use rather than a spec sheet. If we say a companion remembers what you told it yesterday, it is because one of us checked the next day. You can read exactly how we run those checks on our Testing Methodology page.

Independence

We make money through affiliate links, and we are blunt about it. What we do not do is let a commission decide a conclusion. The two are kept apart on purpose, and we spell out the wall between them in our Editorial Policy and our Affiliate Disclosure.
